2/15/24 Siting Council - Refined Findings of Fact, Opinion, Decision & Order
During a session, the Council delivered their DRAFT Decision and Order and voted to split the proposal in UI's application such that the segment from Ash Creek through Bridgeport will be submitted under a separate petition while the segment from Sasco Creek to Ash Creek was approved based on an alternative route loosely defined by the Siting Council as being situated on the north side of the railroad tracks. Until UI is able to create an engineered design for this new alternative route, the impacts to our community are unclear.

During a session, the Council delivered their Draft Findings of Fact. In an unofficial straw-poll vote, the Council signaled that they will not approve UI's original proposal. Instead, they have proposed an alternative route. The next iteration of the draft, along with an opinion, decision & order are due on 2/15.
